Jesus the ultimate rescuer of 9/11

September 11, 2016

Summary

The sermon deals with the remembrance of the horrific day of the 9/11 attacks on America, and on the world. The sermon unfolds true stories in this global “wake up call” tragedy. In Pastor own words: “The day will forever stand out in my mind. It was a day of fear, a day of sadness, a day of anguish, thinking of all of those who had perished.” The bright spots were those rescuers, those saviors who helped the frightened, the panicked, and the injured to safety, who brought them out of the darkness of the swirling smoke, and the raging fires, to life.

The sermon moves closely to its point that evil is sin in action that has invaded our lives and the world, and that we have need of the ultimate rescuer, Jesus. For the Bible (KJV) tells us in 1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour Jesus is the answer, the seeker, the rescuer, the savior, is the only answer to the evil that resides in the world. The Bible (KJV) tells in John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
