April 15, 2020 (week 16)
Dear ALC Members and Friends,
I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1:3-5
Today I am starting my new full-time job as Interim Executive Director of Mount Carmel Ministries in Alexandria, Minnesota. Mount Carmel is a wonderful Bible Camp. You can read about it on-line here: www.mountcarmelministries.com
Donadee and I have enjoyed our time at the American Lutheran Congregation. It is very strange to be ending this interim ministry in the middle of the epidemic. It feels like we have not had a proper opportunity to say goodbye to people. And there is a time of uncertainty now for the congregation, not knowing when the new pastor, Sherri Fredrikson, will be able to travel to Norway.
Even though I will not be working for the congregation now, I will still be leading worship for the next 5 Sundays. We have lined up a wonderful group of pastors who are going to be recording sermons for these services. Pastor Frederikson will be preaching next Sunday and then a group of former pastors have agreed to preach. You will get to hear sermons from:

I hope this will be a very special time for the congregation, as you welcome all these former pastors back to share God’s Word – and this Sunday, as you hear your new pastor preach for the first time.
