Sunday 1st November is All Saints Day and here at ALC we will commemorate those who have gone before us, those who prayed for us and shared the gospel with us, those who spread the “good news” to people living world wide. The day will be an opportunity for us to keep in mind those who live in dire need of help to rebuild their lives after a disaster has struck.
We all remember the earthquakes that struck Nepal in the Himalayas this year in April and May. Devoted christians have provided assistance to the victims. The HimalPartner is a faith based Christian organization working closely with churches and Christian organizations in the Himalayas. With the help of their employees and volunteers the
HimalPartner reach out to people, when disaster struck they were to assist. This is an “agency with a mission from God to share the Testimony about Jesus Christ with the people in the Himalaya region. The staff carry this Ministry with them in their daily work”.
To mark this day the ALC Council decided that the offering will be dedicated to the HimalPartner. You will find an envelope in the Sunday bulletin. If you find it easier to use the ‘card’ the account number and the address are as follows:
