For the past two summers the ALC has raised monies to send youth from the Damongo area to the Scripture Union Bible Camp, a three week Christian camp that stresses fellowship with other Christians, life skills and bible training. Tuition for this three week camp is twenty dollars. In the summer of 2006 ALC was able to provide tuition for forty (40) children. In 2007 ALC provided tuition for one hundred and twenty (120) children. Nineteen children came from an outlaying village and walked twenty miles and waited over night to catch the bus that would take them to the camp. The commitment of the children, their families and the leadership of the Christian community is an inspiration.

This is probably one of the best values for the money. It makes such a positive impact in the lives of the children who attend and it is a well-known Christian organization throughout Ghana. ALC would like to increase its support by making camp scholarships available in an ever increasing amount.
