About Us - Our Mission

The mission of the American Lutheran Congregation is to bring people of different nations and denomiations together and, using the English Language, empower them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

 

The congregation is also involved in special mission projects in Norway and outside of Norway. We work with refugees and new immigrants to Norway in the proclamation of God's love through Jesus Christ. In 2006 the congregation adopted the support and building of the Redemption Children's Home in Damongo, Ghana, West Africa. Members are encouraged to travel to Ghana to work and witness, share their skill and God's love through this project

 

We also support the Sabona project in Zimbabwe, Africa that was started by a young member of the congregation. For more information on this project, see: http://www.sabona.no
