What To Expect

At the ALC, you’ll find a warm, relaxed atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Each service includes:

Uplifting live worship
Encouraging, Bible-centred teaching
A come-as-you-are environment
Programs for kids
Friendly faces

Dress casually, arrive a few minutes early, and make yourself at home. In the entrance area there are notes for newcomers, please fill it out so we can reach out to you and tell you more about the ALC.

After service, we meet downstairs in Hanson Hall for waffles and coffee/tea.

Bringing Kids?
We’ve Got You Covered

Children are an important part of life at ALC, and they’re always welcome here.

We begin Sunday worship together in the Sanctuary. During the service, children are invited to come forward for a special Children’s Message with the Pastor. From there, they can join our Kids Ministry for age-appropriate Bible stories, activities, and creative learning.

Our goal is to create a welcoming and joyful place where children can experience God’s love, ask questions, make friends, and grow in faith.

What to Expect:

✝︎ Worship together: Children begin the service with their families in the Sanctuary.

✝︎ A special moment for kids: Children are invited forward for the Pastor’s Children’s Message.

✝︎ Learning made fun: Bible stories, crafts, music, games, and hands-on activities brings faith to life.

✝︎ Caring volunteers: Our staff help make Kids Ministry a welcoming experience for children.

✝︎ Come as you are: Visiting for the first time? No problem. Your children are welcome to join in.

GETTING HERE IS EASY

Parking & Accessibility

Parking is available onsite, with clear signage to guide you. Free street parking is also available on Sundays.

Our welcome team will be there to greet you and help you find your way.

For guests requiring step-free access, the accessible entrance is located on the west side of the building, off Fritzners gate. Accessible seating is also available for anyone who needs it.

When you visit us, you’ll typically meet Pastor Sherri on the way out of the Sanctuary and other ministry leaders in Hanson Hall during fellowship hour. We’d love to take a moment to introduce ourselves, hopefully answer questions, and help you feel right at home.

Get to Know Us Better

There’s no dress code at ALC—come as you are! We simply want you to feel comfortable.
We gather for worship on Sundays at 11:00 AM and have several Bible studies throughout the week. Check our Services page for more details.
We offer safe, fun, and engaging programs for children of all ages. Our team is passionate about helping kids learn about God in ways that make sense for them. We generally have two groups for the smaller kids and one for the older children. Some Sundays the groups are larger, sometimes smaller. Please contact us to learn more about out Sunday School.
There is a baby and toddler play space in the back of the pew.
Not at all. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, a tourist or looking for a new church home, you are always welcome here.
Our congregation thrives because of the time, talents, and generosity of its members. With a small paid staff—our pastor, office secretary, and organist—we rely on volunteers to help prepare for worship, read Scripture, lead Sunday school, serve waffles during fellowship hour, and support many other aspects of church life.
