Greetings ALC Members and Friends,

Sunday, March 28, is Palm Sunday. I invite you to select a branch from your garden or neighborhood to be blessed at the beginning of our worship. An alternative is to make a paper palm branch. Please see video instructions by accessing the Sunday School video from last Sunday…(https://www.facebook.com/alcoslo/videos/1410582159293192 – the special video starts at 59:44 and the instructions for making palm branches start at 1:07:06).

Worship on Sunday will feel slightly different. We begin with a responsive liturgy and a processional Gospel. Next, we will bless the branches that you have gathered. We will read the Palm and Passion lessons from the Gospel of Mark. In place of the sermon will be a short reflection, so I invite you to have your journal or note paper available to record your own thoughts.

I pray that the online Lenten Devotional continues to nourish you and point you to Christ, our continued hope. May your faith be enriched by these writings of the ALC family.

Tonight is the final Lenten Wednesday Gathering on Zoom from 7-8pm (Oslo time). We will again check in by using FAITH-5 (1. SHARE highs and lows; 2. READ a Bible verse; 3. TALK about how the reading relates to highs and lows; 4. PRAY for our highs and lows; and 5. BLESS each other). Please join us at the link: zoomlink_shared_in_email

Would you like to continue these gatherings after Easter in some form? Perhaps once a month? I will be asking for feedback from participants. If you cannot join the group tonight, please email any feedback to office@alcoslo.org.
May God continue to bless our Lenten Season,
Pastor Sherri

Silver Linings

Pastor Sherri shares: “It has been so great to connect with former members of ALC as well as new friends on our zoom Bible studies and Wednesday Lenten Gatherings. Regular attendees join us from Minnesota, USA; Zambia; from across Norway; and from many other locations. While we would not want to replace live gatherings in all circumstances of ministry, will nurturing long-distance relationships be a part of our future beyond Covid?
