Many of the new Mothers in the Congregation are in a foreign country, far away from their families.
We have a tradition to celebrate new, and expecting Mothers with a baby shower.
The Ladies of the Congregation bring food, decorate for the occasion and provide gifts for the new babies. |

Throughout the Bible we, as a body, are commanded to look after the orphans and widows.
While we do not have any orphans in our midst, we are attempting to look after the orphans in Ghana.
The ALC in Oslo honors the widows in our congregation with an Afternoon Tea, which is hosted by the Pastor, Council President and Fellowship Chair.
This generally takes place in September.

The ALC has an annual tradition of arranging a romantic dinner for Valentines.
Upon arrival, punch is served and the couples get to know each other.
Dinner consists of smoked ham, potato/cheese /broccoli and salad.
"Newlywed game" generates a lot of laughter and is a great icebreaker.
A beautiful, decorated sheet cake with "Indoor" fireworks is served with coffee.
Leaving, all the ladies are presented with a red rose. |

Over the years the ALC has developed a sports ministry.
The purpose is for the membership to have fun and fellowship together.
It also provides an avenue for visitors, new members and family to get to know the congregation better.
Tennis We have arranged tennis events for the congregation.
In the winter time these have been indoors, and in the summer time outdoors.
Non-tennis players are welcome just to fellowship.
Family Golf Over the last few years we have arrange a family golf event at Nittedal GolfKlubb during the spring. We have had participants from 5 to 80 years old.
No special requirements as to equipment and skills.
Hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, chips and pop have traditionally been served.
Men's Golf tournament The first Men's Golf tournament took place in 2007.
This event requires a "Green Card", and is targeted toward the avid golf player. |

On this coming Sunday, 2 November, we celebrate All Saints' Sunday. On this day we celebrate all the baptized people of God, living and dead, who make up the body of Christ. We also remember all of the faithful who have died during the past year.
If there is someone whom you would like us to remember in Sunday morning's worship service, we invite you to contact us this week. You can send us an email at
