Born Feb. 14, 1830, Nes, Hallingdal, Norway, to Halvor and Bergit Pedersmoen. m. Kari Vold (b. Apr. 8, 1836, in Valdres) 1860, in Hallingdal. Immigrated in 1884 to Spring Grove, Minn. In 1886 homesteaded near Sheyenne, N.D.
Both Peder and Kari died tragically Dec. 26, 1897, of coal gas
asphyxiation, Sheyenne, N.D.
Children: Bergit (1862-1920; married Hendrickson seven children) ; Halvor (1866~1934; four children); Mathias (1869-1945; eight
children); Peter (1868-1960; three children); Kari (1872-1954;
married Garnaasi six children); Gjertrud (1872-83); Anton (1874-79);
Ingeborg (1876-1958; m. Anderson; three children) .
