Born Apr. 28, 1870, Lyngdal, Norway,
to Tobias Kristiansen (of Bringsjord) and Katrine Christiansen (of Spangereid).
Immigrated in 1887; in New York a few years; Tacoma, Wash.; to Alaska in the Gold Rush; a trip back to Norway in 1901; then to Southern California.

Married Josie Rognas, 1913. Died in 1949; interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, Cal.

Sisters: Katrine (m. Elias Moi) Kvinestad; Anne Malene (m. Peter Samuelson) Wash. state; Jacobina ( m. Richard Johnson) Los Angeles.

Children: Mrs. Bernice Murohy, Wilmington, Cal.; Helen (m: C.F.Woods); Marjorie Thompson, Missionary to Venezuela, South America; Conrad, Lansing, Mich. Four grandchildren (1963).
