Born July 7, 1855, Loppa, Finnmark, Norway to Enoch E. and Claudine (Stuwictz) Slettedahl. Immigrated in 1883. Naturalized 1897, Duluth. 
Married Laura Christine Sunfar, 1881, in Norway. Died Nov. 29, 1947, Seattle, Wash. and buried there. One brother, two sisters.

Private instruction, 1878-80. Attended Augsburg Seminary, Mp1s., Minn.
Ord. 1887, to United Church, 1890. Served: Fertile, Minn.; Duluth, Minn.; Tacoma, Wash.; San Francisco, Calif.;
Seattle, Wash.; U.C. evangelist 1913-14; Seamen's Mission, Seattle, 1917-33. Knight of Saint Olav 1928.

Children: Bertan (1889-1918); Marie (1886-1951); Clara (1889-1919); Arthur (1892-1959).

Honored by Dr. and Mrs. (Louise Thorkelson, a granddaughter) Allen Solemslie.
