BERNT PETERSON Moe Born Oct. 7, 1858, Naes, Romerike, Norway,
to Peder Pederson Ingeborgrud (1829-1910) and Anna Marie (Dysland, 1825--1914).
Immigrated in 1880 to Beloit, Wis. Married Ellen Marie Johnson, 1885. To Watertown, S.D. in blacksmith, wagon, and carriage business.
He sold the first automobile sold in Watertown, a Rambler. Members of the Lutheran Church. Died Oct. 26, 1946, Watertown, S.D.
Children: Alma Caroline (b. Feb. 1, 1888; m. Palmer Sheldon), Gertrude Malinda (b. Nov.27, 1890; m. Roy B. Urich), died Mar. 13, 1959.

Four grandchildren - Lt. Col. Benjamin Moe Sheldon, USAF; Prof. John Kendall Sheldon, Mpls.; Eleanor Gertrude Sheldon (m. Henry J. Filip), Creve Coeur, Ill.; Jean Eleanor Urich (m. Eldon Swenson), Watertown, S.D. Seven great grandchildren (1962).

Honored by daughter Alma Caroline and four grandchildren.
