KNUT O. Born Aug. 10, 1872, Opdal, Norway, to Ole (b. July 11, 1832) Christian Fagerhaug and Gertrude (b. May 22, 1834) Lokken. Immigrated in 1891 with family to Yankton, S.D. Married to Ida Bjerke.

Engaged in general store business and was president of the State Bank of Irene, S.D. For over 20 years he traveled as an evangelist in the Lutheran church. Served as a trustee of the former Evangelical Lutheran Church. Died Sept. 5, 1948. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, Mpls.

A fitting tribute was given him:
"God used Mr. Lokken as a real witness for Christ by his preaching and teaching God's Word, and by his person to person contacts."
Children: Olin O.(b. July 2, 1899;d. Jan. 27,1958); Chester (b. July 30,1902); Inga Gertrude (b. June 6, 1906, d. Feb. 16, 1961; m. John Basara); Myrtle E (b. Nov. 11, 1908; m. Dr. O.C. Hanson); Elizabeth Harriet (b. Feb. 17, 1911; m.Oscar Branstad).
